Wednesday 09/11/2022 Update

Well, the last few days have been brutal. Giselle got out of the kennel and when I tried to put her back in she freaked out. Long story short my left pinkie took another bite. It's bad but I got antibiotics.

Today I'm taking her sister, Geneva, for vetting at 10. Hopefully she won't go off on me getting her in the carrier. When we get back she and Giselle will be free to roam around in gen pop.

Vlad has pills now and takes them easy because CHEESE! The ringworm spread to his top lid but it does look like it's getting better.

Charlotte is going to her forever home tomorrow! Today a lady is supposed to come adopt Pepper but I haven't heard from her so I have some concern.

Markus is doing so good it's hard to believe he was even sick. He's into everything, dominates Coco and chases the red dot like a beast! Tomorrow is shot 42! never thought I would get this far with shots. Yesterday I worked elections and had to run home to do the shot. Because I was in a hurry I didn't get the nerves and shakes. Fastest shot ever! He's been so good through all of this.

Next week we start getting caught up on spay and neuter. Simon, Geneva, and Ivan will go if I can get them in to my old low cost clinic. I refuse to go back to the new place because they gave someone's dog to a stranger and then called the police on her because she was screaming at them! Nope. I had a weird vibe about the place anyway.

I also have to get shots for all who need them. It's going to be a busy week. I continue to clean constantly and try to create an environment that keeps the cats happy. I really think I'm just going to let Pixie out of the pen and let her hide in the house. She hates people but maybe in 5 years she'll let me pet her.

This has been a horrible year. I pray for it to end on a better note. The rescue is a fail in my mind and the struggle of keeping the cats fed, cared for, and vetted has taken its toll on me. If I can get the adoptions things wouldn't seem so bad.

Sorry, I don't mean to vent here. Just laying out the truth. One person doing everything for so many cats is hard. I have no life outside of them. But, as I always say, they didn't ask for me.
