OK, still me.
Gia is doing very well these past few days and I think Wednesday, 3 weeks after his ER visit, I will see how he does out of my room. If he mouth breathes at all he's back in my room.
I can't believe it's almost February. January has been a blur of medical and grief. But we got through it. February better step up and act right!
I have made appointments for labs for Mickey on the 7th and Markus for the 15th. These labs are mandatory. Mickey will be 1/3 through treatment and Markus will be 2/3 through observation.
I'm begging for any help with the labs. You can PayPal or Zelle to info@tuxieslegacy.org with LABS in notes or call in payment directly to the vet: SugarLand Pet Hospital, 281-491-5533, account 7212 under Carla Snell.
Anything helps!
I will have an answer on low-cost neuter for 6 boys today. I really hope I can do this at my regular clinic.
I have 2 job opportunities possible. If I get them I will work both until the pool opens and work that, too. I've had 3 jobs before. We'll see what happens.
I'm reposting the wish list links as well. We made it through the month and have 2 weeks of wet food left but they go through dry food fast. Any donation helps save funds for vetting.
I saw the saddest video yesterday: a cat returned to a shelter because he was "too affectionate and talkative". How horrible! It really made me think about how I get frustrated with a couple of the kittens that want to constantly sit on me. I can't be upset now when all they want is love. I am grateful they think I'm their mom.
So many cats here that nobody wanted. Though it is hard to take care of them at least they are loved here and I do my best to give them the best. I'm making sure that eyes and noses are clear so I can put more up on Petfinder. After all the boys are fixed everyone will be fully vetted and adoptable.
One of my regular vets gave me an almost brand new cat tree yesterday. I basically gave them a new amusement park! Thank you, Dr Parks!
Time for breakfast! Please, please, please help however you can. And thank you always for caring about the lives that were thrown away or forgotten.
