Tomorrow is Mickey's big day!
She has been on FIP treatment for 140 days now. 2 extensions, shots, pills, that damn virus HAS to be dead now! She has been nothing but angelic through all of it. She is the Warrior Princess! All paws crossed that she will be approved for observation!
Sugar is doing great on treatment, too!
Her 8 week labs are Friday and we need all paws crossed that she is on track! I worry that she may be extended because she's FIV+ but she's acting like Sugar. She had an FIP sore/scab that was there for over a month. It was holding on by a thread and growing hair! I was going to have Dr Floyd remove it but this morning it's gone. She's been great since we switched to pills. I hope for positive results on Friday.
FIP has dominated my life for 8 months now. I could never have seen all this coming but I'm so thankful for the treatment that can save them! Markus thrives, Mickey is right behind him, and Sugar can be cured even with being FIV! It is all possible because of YOU! I couldn't have done this without your donations and support. Yeah, I did the work but it was because I had the funds! Each one costs around $3,000! It's not just meds. Labs, antibiotics, supplements, supplies... It's unreal. And how many lives are lost because it wasn't affordable for their parents?
I want to start a special fund through the rescue to help others get through it. Because I was fortunate to have so much support I really HAVE to help others! Particularly in Pakistan and Cyprus. They have a really hard time getting meds because of cost. I WILL make it happen! Tuxie is stomping his foot about this!
