26/03/2023 Update

A long time ago in a far away land (New York) this page was created to get a little earless cat adopted.

He was and relocated to a distant, sub-tropical state (Texas) where he was worshipped as the god that he was! Happiness ensued and he became a helper to cats in need. His family grew with rescues and his kingdom thrived. Stories were told by the little earless cat and humans were happy with the fairytale life of his clowder.

The fairytale ended with his passing. His mother wanted his legacy to continue and so created an official rescue, complete with tax code 501(c)3 to continue helping the forgotten felines. Because the stories were no longer happy all the time the page lost likes, unsolicited advice and criticisms became more common, and the mom became sad because she was not stupid in care, had the best vets and technology available. Even when happy stories were told people didn't see them. It seemed like the only time the stories were seen was when there was a crisis.

But the mom carried on, begging for help when needed, and saving those she could. She even said yes after she said no more. She didn't have the heart to let lives be lost when she had the ability to treat them.

Let's see how many people will actually see this post. Facebutt/Meta has ruined pages unless you pay for ads. People seem to want drama so here's this:

Mickey has lost weight. It's most likely because I have kenneled her at night with just water so I'm trying to not worry and giving her food in the kennel plus extra food during the day.

But it is still a concern.

Her labs are next week and if they aren't good enough for observation treatment will be extended and I will have to scramble to raise enough ($700) for another box of meds.

Because we can't see the future it makes me extremely anxious. I have just enough meds to get through the next 9 shots left. If her treatment gets extended she CANNOT miss a single dose. I need to raise $130 immediately to get a large vial to cover a few days. You don't screw around with FIP treatment.

This is my reality. I ask and I ask. I know. Don't think $5 "isn't much". It's everything! Don't feel bad if you can't donate! Just please share!

I watch FIP warriors die every day because of funds. It's horrible. Mickey is so close to the end but her journey has been much different than Markus and there is a chance that she might have to go another couple of weeks. I have to be ready in case that happens.

PayPal (because that's how I pay for meds) info@tuxieslegacy.org with FIP in notes.

And prayers that April 4th WILL be good labs!
