We survived the holiday and no turkey was stolen though several attempts were made.
Everyone enjoyed a pre-Thanksgiving meal of chicken to celebrate Ray being cured. Whatever turkey doesn't go into tonight's casserole will be an additional offering to the masses!
Though it is frustrating to struggle most of the time this week we were blessed with a lot of Fancy Feast donated and enough funds to get Luke through the last part of his treatment. Well, I hope! As long as treatment isn't extended....
A fundraiser check came and yesterday I scored BIG on grass seed litter! 6 28lb bags would have cost $240 with shipping and tax BUT Jace's discount and the Black Friday deal made the order $95! That will last until the end of the year.
As we move into to end of 2023 I reflect a lot on all the events that transpired. Yeah, it was hard this year but we still push through. Emotional scars remain, FIP PTSD is real, and I walk on eggshells trying to not become paranoid of the next medical issue. As long as the kitties have everything they need I can get through anything.
Thank you for being there for them. For helping save 5 cats from a horrible disease. For caring for 10 more rescues. For feeding, vetting, and helping the entire rescue.
I know what I have and am thankful every day!
Be pawsome! Do pawsome! This is the way.
