25/05/2023 Victor Update Part 2

VICTOR UPDATE!

From the vet:

I had Kimberly start some blood work and X-rays. His bladder is very large and kidney enzymes have come up a little (creatinine is 3.4), potassium is thankfully normal so I think his blockage is very recent. I've seen some come in with creatinine and potassium levels off the charts. I don't see any stones on rads but I will be able to look better on my computer at work. I am about to leave home and we will sedate and unblock asap

He is unblocked! I used an ultrasonic probe and he easily unblocked. He had some crystalline mucus stuff at the very tip of his urethra. His penis has a tiny adhesion to his prepuce which makes it a little abnormal so that may have predisposed him to getting a collection of stuff. But he unblocked great. I'm leaving a catheter in place and running IV fluids for at least 24 hours to make sure his kidneys are okay

We will run a urinalysis and sediment to check his urine

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! Direct donations to SugarLand Pet Hospital, 281-491-5533, account 7212
