Today I highlight my special needs amputees and ferals.
Animals do not have the egos of humans so they don't have to go through the whole self-image process of losing a limb. Their thought process is survive and adapt. They don't care if you look at them funny.
Feral cats may never fully trust but they try. Imagine being born to the streets, being shooed away, having people be heartless and cruel to you just for being homeless. It may take years to be able to touch them. Maybe the only time you do get to feel them in your arms is when they are ready to make that final journey.
I have 3 limb amputees and 2 tail amputees. 3 of the amputees are feral. Though progress is made it is slow. But I respect their space and how they must feel.
In the end, all the cats that make their way here are allowed to be themselves.
One day I might be rewarded with a head bonk from an inside feral!
Be pawsome! Do pawsome! This is the way.
