Tuxie's Legacy is a registered charity rescue/sanctuary for forgotten cats.
Every cat here was rescued from a dangerous situation, a bottle baby with no mother, or had severe injuries/illness.
Adoptions are few and far between these days. Small, independent rescues are closing all the time now. Funding and volunteers are hard to come by.
I say all this to reiterate my constant asking for donations. I am very lucky and blessed to still be doing this. But it's not easy and it hurts to see so many rescues go under.
Small rescues have saved more lives than the county and city shelters because they bend over backward to save lives instead of euthanasia to make more room. They were there during the pandemic when shelters were closed. They go beyond what a lot "owners" do to save a life.
The cats deserve the best I can get for them. The community has always been there for us. For that, I'm eternally grateful. Your donations over the years have made medical miracles happen!
I was able to order the FIP meds for Riley and 3 more vials for Trick. I still need to raise funds for Revolution. Fleas can NOT be allowed!
I will be starting work next weekend and be able to take on more personal cost soon. But I really need the flea meds asap.

Rescue is more than just saving lives. It's a delicate balancing act of funds and supplies. If we get tons of food we have money to spend on flea prevention. If we get funds for Revolution we spend existing funds on food.
