Rough weekend with the sciatic torture. I had no choice but to have a day on the couch. Now I have to catch up. At least I didn't have to sweat it out at the pool!
I'm starting the neuters and hope I will have funds to get everyone done. Vader and Luke are scheduled for this Wednesday. They're the oldest. If funds allow, Zander and Zavier will go the following week then Riley. Zohra remains tiny but fierce. She's still under 4lbs though. Now I know shelters do it when they're 3lbs but Dr Floyd prefers to do it when they weigh more and we're slightly concerned about her growth. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Timmy is back outside and Freddie was so happy to have him back! When I get the kittens adopted out I'm bringing them both inside! Forever! They're good boys and they deserve to be in.
Sugar's labs are coming up and I really believe she will be declared cured! She's doing so good and she actually acts better than before she got sick. But I'm always nervous about labs
I continue to do what I can and rely on the support of the cat community to keep the rescue alive. I continue to say NO even if it breaks my heart. Getting the kittens fixed and adopted would open up some space but the reality is that people just aren't adopting. So rescues like mine (single individuals with no personal funds) end up being overloaded and become sanctuary for the cats they rescue.
Please continue to help however you can. The raffle and vet credit take care of the 2 on Wednesday. We still need more food so I have to use funds for some. So any food donations help as well.
Direct donations to SugarLand Pet Hospital, 281-491-5533, account 7212.
Thank you always for everything!
Be pawsome! Do pawsome! This is the way.
