Ray is doing better. He's responded to treatment pretty fast.
His appetite is back and he's more active. After 3 days of 2 shots each we're approved to wean down to 1 shot a day.
As far as shots, he's not happy with them but I can give them without much restraint. It works best if I cover his head with a towel (so I don't get bit) and make calming noises. He's being as good as he can.
There's so much I want to say but it would sound petty. I'm being bombarded with suggestions, questions, and flat out insensitive comments. Not just here but in the real world, too. I'm frustrated with the whole FIP situation, obviously, but I'm running the rescue in spite of it all. So please know that above all else.
Some people have a problem with me asking for help so much. Scroll on. I don't expect everyone to donate. I don't expect people to understand either. I also don't know any rescue that doesn't ask for donations. I'm not a celebrity rescuer with corporate sponsorship. I'm a 1 person operation doing the work of 4 or 5 people so I DO get frustrated. I deal with the medical crisis. I deal with the deaths. I deal with the criticism. I deal with it all alone so if I vent sometimes it's because I still need to feel connected. Unfortunately, I am human.
Once I get the kittens adopted things will be easier. Once I can get Sugar in observation I will relax some. It's overwhelming knowing that I have 3 cats that need blood panels every month for the next 3 months. Then 2. Then 1.
Please help as you can. Please share if that's all you can do.
Anything is appreciated! I can't let the kitties down so I continue on.
