Welcome to 2023!
Our resolution is to keep it more real here. I don't tell all things going on sometimes in hopes that they will get resolved. Most of the time they do. But if they go south it becomes an emergency. I can't do that anymore. Everything, no matter how small, will be laid out for all the world to see.
That being said on this second day of a new year we are basically broke. There's $190 in the checking account and $152 in PayPal. Grand total of $342. I have no time anymore to sew quilts, make things for sale, or run auctions. It's 12 hours a day of cat care: scooping, cleaning, medications. A cold is running through the crew and I'm trying to stay on top of it all. At least Markus doesn't have shots anymore.
This isn't how I wanted this rescue to be but it is. I really didn't want to continue after Jessikat but I did. So I made these choices and with them come consequences. No room for pride in rescue.
I have managed to get enough wet food for general population for the month. What is needed is Fancy Feast and Fancy Feast kitten. We also go through 2 13lb bags of dry food a week. 11lb bag of kitten food.
I no longer feed wet food twice a day because I can't afford it as well as switching, mostly, back to clay litter. I tighten the belt as far as it will go and now ask for your help.
Our immediate needs are Fancy Feast kitten and adult, Taste of the Wild dry food, and any donations go to litter (I can get 40lb for $8.50 with Jace's discount) and vet.
Vet needs will be bad until all 8 kittens are fixed and Markus has 4, 8, and 12 week blood work. With this cold and ringworm I'm spending money on meds. It's pretty overwhelming. Not impossible but very overwhelming.
