As if I don't have enough worry about the cats....
Today a dimmer switch shorted out and was shooting sparks and flames!
Instant PTSD, panic attack, and memories flooded my brain. The smell. When you lose your entire world to a fire it's a smell you never erase.
Loaded up on CBD to get through the day.
Micky has 2 shots left until labs. I'm a high strung person internally but try to fake my way in public. I can't now so I'm just staying home. I need her labs to be good enough for observation. I need her observation uneventful. I need her to be cured.
I also need Lafayette to poop! I'm going to attempt the "procedure" again. Wish me luck. This is the glam side of rescue! Never had a kitten this age not go on their own.
The rescue is bleeding out financially. I tell the truth about what's needed and have little response most days. People unlike us. A handful carry us through. I couldn't help Joey and Johnny even if I wanted to. Today I really want to give up. But, let's get real; I go on. For them. For the cats I took in. They didn't ask for me. I beg for them. I beg for the rescue.
I would REALLY like to make a great, positive post soon! Maybe Tuesday will be that post.
