HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY TO BEAUTIFUL SUGAR!
Sugar was rescued from the streets last year with her single baby. FIV+, 2 pellets in her, and now fighting FIP she is as sweet as her name. She has her 8 week treatment labs tomorrow so wish her the best!
OK, the video footage from all cameras can't get a plate # from the a--hole that dumped the kittens. I can still file a report and our local deputies have the pictures and make of the car but there's not a lot I can do without that key piece of information. I spoke with an officer last night (animal lover) and he IS looking for the car. He said if he finds him he WILL charge him with animal abandonment! But he has to find him.
In the meantime the babies are doing well.
Yesterday, all 3 older kittens had gooey eyes! I started meds and they look better today. I was going to move them to Pixie's pen and I'm glad I didn't. Pixie still wants to eat my soul and would be impossible to medicate! So now I have to watch them and get them better.
I think next Monday I'll just tear down the failed attempt of an outside pen and rebuild something for them. They need more space to play but are still too small to let loose in gen pop.
Everyone is doing good so far. It's hectic with work and rescue but we're getting into the routine.
Please help the rescue as you can. Mickey will still have to get labs every 4 weeks, kittens will need shots, older kittens will need boosters. I found a flea and need to start treating with Revolution and that's a major expense! When there's a crisis funds are raised easy and fast but for daily needs it's a struggle. I appreciate your support so much and I know how hard it is to exist these days. Just know that any amount is great because it's always needed!
