I'm going to try to get back to "normal" even if it is different.

At 7:45am Mom walked across the Bridge to be with Poe and be at peace for eternity. Thank you for your support at this difficult time.

Things go south quickly. My mother will be making her journey very soon.

I had a post in the making yesterday but failed due to exhaustion. I had to take Xena back to recheck yesterday.

Here's a regular post! Goose did great! All his teeth except the canines are gone.

Snowpocalypse Day was actually nice. While humans played in the snow kitties chilled and temporary alliances were made. 😹

Yep. It's snowing. For the first time in my life (maybe ever) south Texas is under a blizzard warning until noon! 😂

So we sit and wait for Snowpocalypse 2025. I made a space on the porch as best I could for the ferals.

A quick post before I pass out. So George, aka Mr Cheeks, is still very slowly getting used to backscratcher pets.

From the vet visit yesterday! She's too SQUEE! And she's eating big this morning! And she was finally able to meow!

Xena did great! She was perfect, sweet, and has enslaved the clinic staff. She ALSO had a negative SNAP test.

So after some cleaning up she looks a little better. Her other eye is open now. She's very purry and making tons of biscuits, too.

Awww, CAT LITTER! I couldn't ignore this one. 😭Omw to pick her up. 13 weeks old and only 1.8lbs.

Warmer today so more activity. Everyone has been sleeping through the cold. 😹

Just a late post to let everyone know.... It's cold! 😹 Ray is completely unbothered! Have the volume up to hear him snoring like my...

Very busy week with everything in mi vida loca. Mom, cats, trying to have some personal life, etc.

Sooo..... I'm about to do something that I JUST said I couldn't do anymore. Call me a liar, hypocrite, whatever... I have no choice here.

Happy New Year 2025! I hope, for everyone, that this year will have a more positive impact.

So, of course, after I posted yesterday I got a text from a friend needing help to trap a kitten.... It was easy, done in a few minutes.

As the end of the year is basically here I reflect openly on the atrocities that occurred. I hope and pray 2025 will be a kinder year.
